Nan Desu Kan 2007 has come and gone and while I was sick like the WHOLE TIME, I did have fun and cant wait till next year. Being bedridden 90% of the time I diddnt get to do much past the AMV comp (which I think I kicked ass in), pictures, the dealers room and a handfull of panels.
First of All hope this sets off a few search engines so people can read up and see the pictures in the gallery. Also I want this point to be heard. WHAT THE FUCK WAS WITH THE YAOI PANEL!? I was in it for a whole of 5 minutes and wanted to go ‘this isnt how gay sex works you fan girls!’ the whole thing I heard was about how relation ships are ‘cannon’ ‘non cannon’ and ‘crack’. Fuck that. Its there or it isn’t. Creators of anime dont want you pinning unlikely characters together to satisfy some weird fetish you have for men fucking. My fetish for men fucking is well a sexual preference. . .I dont understand fan girls.

The Story-telling panel was FANFUCKINGTASTIC. I wish I knew the name of the man running it. I just . . .wow I learned some stuff that I can actually apply to my writing and it will help I am sure.

But the highlight of the con for me was of course the AMV competition. I got in out of 130 videos so I was happy about it and I think I did good in my catagory but the winning video was this and I couldent agree more

Anyone who argues that that isnt the most fucking amazing thing they have ever seen is on crack. I diddnt get to meet him but I got to meet a utena girl who was very nice to me and obviously more experienced. It was very nice but all you editors watch out, RealEmotionX is aiming for a win next year!!!!!

 

things to change about NDK

 

1. Dealers room fucking sucked, no good porn, and was very final fantasy/kingdom hearts/naruto focused. Great deals but still diversify.

3. make the panels more interesting. I know you guys have a budget but come on. . .that was blah
